Version interim-1 · Published 4 August 2026
These are interim terms. They have not been reviewed by an attorney. They are published now, rather than left absent, so that you can see what you are agreeing to before you use Kadro. A reviewed version is expected in November 2026 and will replace this one; when it does, we will ask you to read and agree to it again. Nothing here is presented as a settled legal position, and where these terms are silent, South African law decides rather than we do.
Kadro is operated by KZN2026 (PTY) Ltd, a private company registered in the Republic of South Africa, registration number 2026/605478/07.
In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean KZN2026 (PTY) Ltd. "You" means the person or organisation using Kadro.
We are not registered for VAT. Our invoices are ordinary tax-exclusive invoices and are not tax invoices, so you cannot claim input tax on them. If that changes, we will say so and begin issuing tax invoices from that date.
Reach us at [email protected] for anything about your account or an invoice.
Kadro is a hosted kanban tool: boards, lists and cards, with the things that usually go with them. You use it over the internet; we run it.
You need an account to use Kadro. You are responsible for what happens under it, so keep your password to yourself and tell us promptly if you think somebody else has it.
You must be legally able to enter into a contract. If you are using Kadro on behalf of an organisation, you are confirming that you may bind that organisation.
Everything you put into Kadro — boards, cards, comments, files — remains yours. We do not claim ownership of it.
We store and process it for one purpose: running the service for you. That includes backing it up, showing it to the people you have shared it with, and the technical work of keeping it available. It does not include selling it, and it does not include training anything on it.
You are responsible for what you put in. Do not upload anything you do not have the right to, and do not use Kadro to break the law or to harm somebody else.
We will make a reasonable effort to keep Kadro running and your data safe. We back up the database daily and keep files in durable storage.
We do not promise that the service will never be unavailable. When it is, we will work to restore it.
Where a paid plan applies, the price, the billing period and what is included are set out when you buy it. Invoices are payable by the due date stated on them.
If an account falls far enough behind, we may restrict it — which means you can still reach your billing pages and your data, but not carry on working. We will tell you before that happens, and restoring it is a matter of paying the invoice.
You can cancel at any time. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not refund a period already paid for, unless we have failed to provide the service.
You may stop using Kadro whenever you like, and you may ask us to delete your account.
We may suspend or end an account that is being used to break the law, to attack the service or other people using it, or that has an unpaid invoice we have already asked about. Where we can give notice first, we will.
If we end your account for a reason other than your own breach, we will refund the unused portion of anything you have paid in advance.
While your account is open, you can export your boards. If your account is closing, ask us and we will help you get your data out before it is deleted.
These are interim terms, so they deliberately claim little. We are not, in this version, asking you to accept a limitation of our liability, an exclusion of warranties, or an indemnity. The reviewed version will address those, and you will be asked to agree to it separately.
Nothing in these terms takes away a right you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or any other law that cannot be contracted out of.
We will publish a new version rather than quietly editing this one, and every version stays retrievable.
If a change is material — what we charge, what we do with your data, how disputes work — we will ask you to agree to the new version before you carry on using Kadro. If it is minor, we will tell you about it.
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction.
If something goes wrong, please talk to us first at [email protected]. Most things are quicker to fix than to argue about.
Version interim-1. This is the version recorded against your
acceptance. Superseded versions are kept, so an older record can still be read
against the text it referred to — ask us if you need one.
